Goddamn, but AP Reporters are Stupid!

Here's how Genius du Jour Anne Plummer Flaherty describes the House bill that gives President Chimpy the leeway to torture people:

The House approved legislation Wednesday giving the administration authority to interrogate and prosecute terrorism detainees

Look, fuckhead, no-one, except the imaginary Democrats in the heads of Republicans and reporters, has ever disputed the administration's authority to interrogate detainees. The dispute has always been about how they are interrogated — i.e., whether or not they can be waterboarded, beaten, tied in painful positions, or turned into nervous wrecks. In short, it has been about whether the President can legally authorize torture. And the House bill says, Yes.

That's not a complicated distinction. If you can't comprehend it, you have no business telling anybody about anything, ever, let alone writing for a major news organiztion.
