We Call It the "Good Morning Burger"

With respect to almost everything on The Simpsons, what is funny in Springfield would be horrifying in the real world. Consider, for example, 3D Homer's visit to South LA.

With that in mind, I refer you to episode 8F22, "Bart's Friend Falls in Love," wherein Lisa and Marge become worried when Homer's gastronomic rapacity knows no satiety, leading a triumvirate of twinkies to overcome his resolve. Another foul temptress takes the form of
eighteen ounces of sizzling ground beef, and soak it in rich, creamery butter, then we top it off with bacon, ham, and a fried egg.
The reason this is funny is that such a burger would be freakin' disgusting in the real world, but Homer practically drools himself dehydrated over the mere thought of one. For god's sake, even McDonald's thought loooong and hard before introducing a breakfast sandwich with a hamburger patty, and they've never offered a post-breakfast burger with an egg on it. It is an incontrovertible scientific fact that eggs have no place – none, zero, zip, zilch – on a hamburger. If you think so, you are wrong and your opinions a load of rich creamery butter.
