Obvious to Even the Most Dim-Witted Individual Who Holds an Advanced Degree in Hyperbolic Topology

Woo-hoo! This weekend I finally came to understand the concept of the logarithm! This, after high-school and college math through Calculus 1. The credit goes entirely to Precalculus Mathematics in a Nutshell. I don't see why my teachers and the authors of my textbooks couldn't explain it that clearly. And, oh holy god in a mulch pile, what in heaven's name does Wikipedia's math crowd think they are at? Here is the entry on logarithms. It's like they use Wikipedia to show off their own smarts. You shouldn't need to be competent in math beyond the logarithm in order to comprehend the Wikipedia page about logarithms.
